• Meeting: Friends of Black Rock Picnic Site

  Eco Warriors are really excited about working with Monmouthshire Countryside Service to preserve, manage and improve the Black Rock picnic site. We would like to set up a Friends' Group to help us with this project. If you enjoy using the site and are interested in giving us a hand please come along to a meeting  on Thursday 29th June at 7pm in the School Hall. We would love to see you there and to hear your views! 

• Money week event in the sun

  We had super weather for our money week event today. We were well supported by parents and friends of the school. The pupils did an amazing job. Visit the gallery to see what went on.

• Learning with Autism

  We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Learning with Autism certificate.  The whole school have been learning about Autism.  We are the second school in Monmouthshire to receive this award from the Welsh Government.

• Parliament unit with Y6

  Year 6 have started a unit of work on the UK Parliament this week. Please see their class page for images from our first session. We have been exploring the 3 parts of Parliament and started to ask questions about each. The class have also been asked to find out what happened on January 4th 1642.

   

  After half term we will be learning all about the Commons, Lords, Monarchy, other roles within Parliament and even holding our own debate and vote.

• Cricket at the Castle

  ARW took a small team of Year 5 pupils to the 'Cricket at the Castle' event at Caldicot Castle today. We played 3 games in total and had a great time.
