This week we have been using our senses in the Forest.
Spring is here and Forest School has started again. Here are a few photos to show you the fun we had using mud to help us with our maths! We were comparing the size of our hands and feet.
We love playing 1, 2, 3 where are you?
We all hide.
Mrs Hoare has to come and find us.
Then we help her look for all the other groups.
We enjoy shouting 1, 2, 3 where are you?
We needed to mix up the mud to make it gooey.
It felt squelchy.
We then all made a mud hand print.
We compared the size of our hands.
We wanted to find out who had the biggest hands...
.... and who had the smallest hands.
I love mud!
We also compared the size of our feet.
Our final visit to Forest School for the Autumn term was amazing! We had a real fire and toasted marshmallows, they were delicious! We also made bird feeders to help the birds find food.
On our fourth visit to Forest School we made journey sticks. We collected things while we were walking and chose things that we liked. We had to tie string on to a stick to hang the things we had chosen on.
During our third visit to the forest we spent time investigating what is growing there. We used mirrors to look up above us and hoops to put on the floor to see what is growing.
Our second week in the forest was just as much fun.
We really enjoyed our first visit to Forest School.
